Science Day at CPSI was celebration of knowledge, techniques, perseverance and the small wonders of the world of science. The science department had meticulously planned all the activities in which students from across grades 4 to 9 had participated.
These activities divided in four rounds encouraged the participants to use their logical thinking skills, to work under pressure, to foster team spirit, to implement their classroom learning into real life activities. Watching the participants effortlessly thriving in each part of the competition just proved how well absorbed all the scientific concepts are in the minds of these geniuses.
The activities organised were as follows:
Inside the Golden Bloom – Dissection and labelling of a flower
Build a Food Web and Track the Mercury Mystery –
Forensic Footprints – A DNA Mystery
Assembling Puzzle Pieces of Chemical Reaction, Identifying Acid and Base
Crack the Secret Message – Periodic Table Fun!
The Ultimate Separation Quest – Separate salt, sand, iron fillings, rajma seeds and rice
Flip the Ddakji Challenge –
Aqua Flip Frenzy – Flip the bottle.
Edge Drop Dash – Move the coin across table without touching it!
Balance Quest – The Perfect Equilibrium Challenge
All the above activates were carried out with pure competitive zest and glory by the participants. It was a science day indeed!
