12 highly motivated students from CPSI formed a team and participated in the ARSS competition. This competition puts high school students in the shoes of aerospace industry engineers designing a city in space that will be home to over 10 thought people.
Chinmay Khadse and Anurag Yuwanati got the team together and conceptualized the space city, the team extensively worked on areas like structural design, life support system, power generation, robotics and computing, operations and infrastructure and other important aspects to design a detailed report of 40-45 pages with the aim to communicate their design to the organizers.
This was the first year that CPSI participated in this esteemed competition and regardless of that our brilliant team managed to emerge as the second runner ups which is no mean feat!
While they were mentored by teachers, the students themselves displayed great self-learning and growth in the way they brought this whole project together.
Competing against distinguished schools throughout India, the second runner up title is an achievement and we are hoping our students get the opportunity to represent CPSI in Delhi for the next level.
Without a pinch of doubt, next year we shall reach the Kennedy Space Centre for the finals.
